Mandate:

The Missions Committee assists the Church Council in its decision-making process, and in facilitating the congregation’s involvement in and responsibility toward mission support and outreach. This includes the evaluation of various requests for support of mission work by churches, mission agencies, or individuals; and making recommendations concerning the quality of the mission work, what kind of support and what level of support we ought to give. It also includes acquainting and educating the congregation concerning the mission work the Council deems worthy of support and involvement. The Missions Committee also is to seek ways and means of assisting our federation in its fulfillment of the Great Commission via a cooperative and strategic approach.

The committee is comprised of the following:

1. 1 serving elder;
   
2. 1 serving deacon;
   
3. 1 retired elder;
   
4. 1 retired deacon;
   
5. and 3 members from the congregation.

The committee is to meet at least six times per year or more as needed to do the work necessary in the fulfillment of its mandate.
